    Perfect smiles

Dental veneers are carefully crafted custom made facings that are permanently bonded to the front of your teeth to correct issues such as:

    • Stained teeth
    • Chipped Tooth
    • Teeth that are worn down
    • Close gaps in your teeth
    • Correct (minor) crooked teeth

They can be made from ceramic (or porcelain) or composite resin enhancing their colour and shape while providing an effective solution to these problems.

Veneers can be fitted over any number of teeth, usually fitted over the front 4, 6 or 8 teeth. Most people have them placed on their upper teeth only, but depending on what is visible in your smile, the lower teeth can receive veneers too.

To create space for these thin veneers, your teeth are meticulously prepared, removing a very thin outer layer of the tooth. The veneer is precisely fitted resulting in a very natural restoration with a seamless transition to the gum line.

They can last for around 5-10years before needing to be replaced.

    Missing teeth?

When a tooth is missing, one of the options that we have to replace the missing tooth is a dental bridge. The other options for missing teeth are dental implants or a removable denture, however, these alternatives may not be suitable for everyone.

A typical bridge is made of up 3 units; the two crowns on either end of the gap and the artificial tooth that replaces the missing tooth in the middle.

A bridge is a particularly good option when the two teeth on either side of the gap are suitable for crowns. The materials used for bridges are also made from zirconia or porcelain or porcelain fused to metal, with the result being a long term and natural looking solution to missing teeth.

As we use laboratory made crowns, a dental bridge requires two appointments. During your first appointment the two teeth on either side of the gap are prepared for crowns and detailed impressions are taken so the bridge can be precisely manufactured by Australian laboratories that produce material of the highest quality.

    Restoration

A dental crown is a small cap that fits over an existing tooth and can also act as a replacement tooth when attached to a dental implant or bridge.

Dental crowns cover the visible portion of the tooth and sit above the gum line. Dental crowns can be made using zirconia, porcelain or porcelain that is fused to gold.

They are coloured to match your other teeth, and sometimes patients choose to professionally whiten their teeth prior to crown or bridge treatment to enhance the cosmetic effect.

We uses dental crowns that are manufactured by Australian laboratories that produce material of the highest quality.

During your first appointment your teeth are prepared and detailed impressions are taken. At your second appointment, the tooth is thoroughly cleaned and the crown is permanently bonded to your tooth.

    Complete

    Dentures

Dentures are a form of prosthetic device used to replace missing teeth and surrounding oral tissue.

Modern dentures are made in either acrylic removable or acrylic permanent bonded forms and can replace individual or a full mouth of teeth.

Complete dentures are nearly indistinguishable from your real teeth, making them an excellent option for patients suffering from tooth or tissue loss.

These are designed to replace a full jaw of teeth. They can be made after the teeth have been lost of removed (known as conventional dentures) or prior to removing teeth (immediate dentures)

    Partial

    Dentures

Dentures can help with a variety of oral health concerns. In addition to providing patents with a healthy, radiant smile, dentures can also improve self-confidence and help bring masticatory function back to normal, improving your ability to chew food.

Our partial dentures are chrome cobalt based or acrylic. Cobalt are superior to acrylic partial dentures due to additional strength from the metal support and accurate fit providing longevity of comfort and function.

Also, when you have missing teeth, your gum contour will continue to change due to bone resorption and remodelling as part of ageing process, hence the denture should be relined so they remain comfortable and fit securely.
